PlayCore and CPRS Partner to Offer Professional Development Symposium to Promote Play and Health in West Sacremento

PlayCore, a leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of play and recreation products, will be offering a complimentary continuing education symposium in West Sacramento, CA on Tuesday, June 2, 2015.  Presented by PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, the event will include sessions that illustrate best practices for promoting community health through adult outdoor fitness parks, as well as infusing nature into the everyday spaces of childhood.

In an effort to further the California Park and Recreation Society’s health and wellness initiative and promote the CPRS Brand Promise, PlayCore will provide state-wide professional development services in each of the five regions. The California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) and City of West Sacramento will host the CPRS Region 1 symposium designed for professionals in the fields of park and recreation, landscape architecture, and education.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be held at The City Hall Galleria.  Sponsored by MRC and GameTime, the sessions will be led by master trainer Jennie Sumrell, Director of Education, Corporate Strategic Services, from PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development. The sessions offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for professionals and promise to be lively, informative, and educational. Lunch and educational resources will be provided.
