Family craft activities to promote mindfulness

When parents and children are feeling heavy emotions, it’s good to engage in simple mindfulness activities to help. Mindfulness is noticing what’s going on outside—and inside—of us with acceptance and kindness, and is an important skill in coping with the world. The mindfulness activities here use household items and are designed to help the entire family connect to and experience a sense of calm through fun craft-centered activities.

Don’t forget simple classics like coloring, it's all the rage for a reason! You can take it a step further and teach the idea of concentrating on what you're doing and coloring with mindfulness. Accompanied with relaxing music, it’s a calming activity great for all ages.
