PlayCore Honored with Award for Company Ethics

PlayCore was recently honored with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Ethics which recognizes SE Tennessee and NW Georgia area businesses and nonprofits that are committed to operating their organizations with a strong focus on ethics and trust.

BBB’s Torch Award is designed to promote not only the importance of ethical business practices, but the willingness and efforts made by outstanding businesses to ensure that the marketplace remains fair and honorable for all consumers and fellow businesses. Companies were nominated for BBB’s Torch Award and then asked to provide information that demonstrates their focus on the 4C’s of Trust: Character, Culture, Customers, and Community. Award recipients are selected by an independent panel of judges each year. Said one of the judges about PlayCore, “At a high level the corporation has all the fundamental elements in place; policy, procedures, training, employee educations and opportunity. They incorporate integrity, high ethics, trust, character, manufacturing quality, and customer relationships with excellence. Their commitment to community support in each branch business location is present and very commendable."

“PlayCore is dedicated to providing our employees with an ethical, respectful environment in which to work,” stated PlayCore CEO Roger Posacki. “We believe in building healthy communities through play, recreation, and outdoor spaces, a goal we strive for by creating a strong community within our organization. While we design, market and manufacture play and recreation products, we also allocate significant resources into research, education, programs, and partnerships that benefit the industry, and the communities we serve.” PlayCore VP of Marketing, Anne-Marie Spencer, added when accepting the award on behalf of PlayCore, “We’ve worked hard to build a culture of respect and trust, so our team instinctively knows the right thing to do and is empowered to do it. High ethical standards help our stakeholders and customers know we are safeguarding their interests.” The award ceremony was held May 3 in Chattanooga, and the local BBB will enter PlayCore in the national Torch Award competition.
