Lisa Moore
Vice President, Corporate Strategic Services, PlayCore
Lisa has worked as a service provider and an administrator in a variety of educational and medical settings with a focus on child development, children with disabilities, and their families. Lisa has also served as an adjunct professor and presents at a variety of regional, national, and international conferences on the value of play. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Central Florida and her Master’s degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga pursuing an Ed.D. in Learning and Leadership with a research focus on outdoor play and learning.

Anne-Marie Spencer
Vice President, Corporate Marketing & Communications, PlayCore
Anne-Marie leads the marketing and communications effort for PlayCore, including serving as a company spokesperson and handling advertising, brand promotion, communications, and trade show coordination. She has notably published over 50 company positioning articles in major national magazines and publications, and has delivered over 200 seminars and outreach sessions during her 20 year career, 30 of which have focused on play. She currently serves on the Board of the National Coalition to Promote Physical Activity, a group of corporate, government, and recreational professionals working to advocate, legislate, and promote physical activity for Americans.

Jennie Sumrell
Director of Programs and Partnerships, PlayCore
Jennie has worked in the field of special education, childhood development, and inclusion for nearly ten years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Learning from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, a master’s certificate in Adaptive & Assistive Technology from the University of Miami, and is in the final stages of finishing her research action project to obtain her master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Jennie has presented as a guest lecturer at local universities and numerous regional, national, and international conferences on universal design, bringing learning outdoors, engaging children with nature, fighting the childhood obesity epidemic, and the value of play.

Joe Frost
Parker Centennial Professor Emeritus, University of Texas
Joe Frost, Parker Centennial Professor Emeritus, University of Texas, has lectured throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. He served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Air Force, and numerous child-care organizations, professional organizations, government agencies, universities, and corporations. During his 34-year tenure at the University of Texas he supervised more than 50 PhD dissertations and has published more than 20 books and numerous professional articles, monographs, and book chapters. In 2007, his article in Childhood Education, "The Changing Culture of Childhood: A Perfect Storm," was one of two Distinguished Achievement Award Finalists in the Association of Educational Publisher's Learned Article category.
Dr. Frost was President of the Association for Childhood Education International and was President of the International Play Association, USA. He was selected Texas Educator of the Year in 1989 by the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, and in 1989 he received the University of Texas Dean's Distinguished Faculty Award. In 2004, Dr. Frost was awarded the Doctor of Play award by the International Play Association (IPA/USA), and in 2005, a Doctor of Humane Letters degree by the University of the Incarnate Word. In 2006, he received the Patty Smith Hill Award from the Association for Childhood Education International and in 2008 he received the Great Friend to Kids Award from the Association for Children's Museums.
He directs a three-decades-running research program involving University of Texas faculty and graduate students at Redeemer Lutheran School in Austin, Texas, enrolling more than 500 students preschool through middle school, featuring natural and built play yards, natural habitats, gardens, and outdoor science classrooms. For the past three years he served as President of the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Outdoors Ministry of Texas. His books include: Children and Injuries, and The Developmental Benefits of Playgrounds. His most recent books are A History of Play and Play Environments, published in 2009, and Play and Child Development, published in 2011.

Robin Moore

Director Natural Learning Initiative, North Carolina State University, Robin Moore is a recognized expert in the design of play, learning, and educational environments. Pursuing his interest in integrating environmental design and child development for over 30 years, Moore has authored and published numerous works about children in nature, and has held faculty appointments at UC Berkeley, Stanford University, and North Carolina State University.

Joe Wynns
MS., CPRP
Joe Wynns is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional with 35 years of urban experience. He is the past director of the 13th largest city’s parks and recreation department, Indy Parks, from 2000 to 2008, which under his leadership received multiple national accreditations and was recognized nationally for excellence in the area of park and recreation management. Presently, Wynns serves on the Outdoor Resources Review Group, The National Forum on Children and Nature, and is serving on his second term on NRPA’s Board of Trustees. He is a member and Past President of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Park and Recreation Administration, and Chair of the Urban Park and Recreation Alliance.
Wynns received his Masters in Recreation Administration from Indiana State University and his Bachelors in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from South Carolina State University. He also has a Certificate in Public Management from the Indiana University School for Public and Environmental Affairs.
