St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® & Math-A-Thon

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, Tenn., St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance and families without insurance are never asked to pay.

 

PlayCore is a proud sponsor of the Math-A-Thon fundraiser for St. Jude.  In 2009, PlayCore will provide playground equipment rebates to every school that completes the Math-A-Thon program. The top three fundraising schools will be awarded the Grand Prize of a new playground. Siskin Children's Institute

Located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Siskin Children's Institute is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with special needs and their families. Creative Discovery Museum

Located in Chattanooga, TN, the Creative Discovery Museum is a hands-on children’s museum offering activities and exhibits featuring art, music, science, and technology. Created with children’s input, the Museum is full of "WOW" to actively engage kids and parents through a wide variety of exhibits that help develop a love for learning through play. Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga

Founded in 1990, the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga serves as a “home away from home” each year for 600-700 families of critically injured and seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals in Chattanooga. The cornerstone programs are the 26-bedroom Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a mobile dental clinic providing free dental care to children ages 5 – 21, those without dental insurance or enrolled in TennCare. Ronald McDonald House Charities® also offers 40 $1,000 scholarships to area high schools’ seniors. Joe L. Frost Children's Play and Play Environments Research Collection

Housed by the J.E. & L.E. Mabee Library at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, the Joe L. Frost Children's Play and Play Environments Research Collection is one of the most comprehensive sources of research materials for the study of childhood play and play environments in the United States.
